The Passion Translation

The raging flood completely inundated the earth, but the ark floated safely, drifting upon the surface of the water,

Trading ships glide through the high seas. And look! There are the massive whales bounding upon the waves.

Don’t let this flood drown me. Save me from these deep waters or I’ll go down to the pit of destruction.

For forty days, the flood engulfed the earth. The swelling floodwaters lifted up the ark until it rose high above the ground.

until the highest mountains were completely submerged beneath the rising waters.
