The Passion Translation

Joseph ordered his chief servant, “Fill the men’s sacks with grain, with as much as they can hold, and put each one’s money back in the mouth of his bag.

Joseph then gave orders to have their bags filled with grain, to hide each man’s money back inside his sack, and to give them provisions for their journey home. After this was done for them,

When Joseph saw his brother Benjamin with them, he said to his chief servant, “Bring the men to my house and make them feel at home. Butcher an animal and prepare a meal, for these men are to dine with me at noon.”

Behold—Yahweh, the Sovereign One, the Commander of Angel Armies, is about to cut off from Jerusalem and Judah every source of their support and security, including all food supplies and water.

So they approached the chief servant and spoke to him at the entrance of the house.

When all the grain they had brought from Egypt was almost gone, their father said to them, “Go back and buy us more food.”

One day, Abraham called for his trusted head servant, who was in charge of all that he had, and said “Please, put your hand here under my thigh,

As for the youngest one, place my silver goblet in the mouth of his sack, along with the money he paid for his grain.” And he did as Joseph said.

As they each emptied their sacks of grain, each man found his money inside his sack! When they and their father saw their money returned to them, they were frightened.
