Once, when Pharaoh was angry with his servants, he incarcerated me and the chief baker in the prison of Potiphar, the captain of the guard.

So Joseph’s master took him and threw him into prison, the place where the king’s prisoners are confined, and he was left there.

Meanwhile, the Midianites took Joseph to Egypt and sold him to Potiphar, one of Pharaoh’s officials, the captain of the guard.
