I, Daniel, was dazed and lay sick for several days; then I got up and went back to serve the king. I was perplexed by the vision, for it seemed beyond understanding.
The next morning, his spirit was agitated, so he called for all the magicians and wise men in Egypt. Pharaoh recounted his dreams to them, but no one could give him the interpretation.
“We had dreams last night,” they answered, “and we have no one to interpret them.” And Joseph said to them, “God can interpret your dreams! Please, tell them to me.”
Then one night, they both dreamed—the steward and the baker, officials of the king of Egypt. They each had a prophetic dream with different interpretations.
