but the chief steward completely forgot about Joseph and never remembered him.

I am totally forgotten, buried away like a dead man, discarded like a broken dish thrown in the trash.

God’s promise to Joseph purged his character until it was time for his dreams to come true.

After two full years, Pharaoh dreamed that he was standing by the Nile,

When the chief steward heard about the dreams he remembered Joseph and said to Pharaoh, “Please, your dream reminds me today of my failures.

I overheard their whispered threats, the slander of my enemies. I’m terrified as they plot and scheme to take my life.
