Later that same day, Isaac’s servants came with wonderful news about the well they had dug, saying, “We’ve just found water!”
Slackers will know what it means to be poor, while the hard worker becomes wealthy.
“Ask, and the gift is yours. Seek, and you’ll discover. Knock, and the door will be opened for you.
The slacker wants it all and ends up with nothing, but the hard worker ends up with all that he longed for.
So Isaac built an altar, prayed, and worshiped Yahweh there. He pitched his tent there, and his servants started digging another well.
Then the next morning, they got up early and exchanged oaths. Isaac said goodbye to them, and they left Isaac in peace.
So he named it Oath. This is why the city where they dug the well is called Beersheba to this day.
