Now return the man’s wife, and because he is a prophet, he will intercede on your behalf that you may live. But if you don’t give her back—you will certainly die, you and your entire household.”

Honor the sanctity of marriage and keep your vows of purity to one another, for God will judge sexual immorality in any form, whether single or married.

If anyone observes a fellow believer habitually sinning in a way that doesn’t lead to death, you should keep interceding in prayer that God will give that person life. Now, there is a sin that leads to death, and I’m not encouraging you to pray for those who commit it.

Throughout our history God has spoken to our ancestors by his prophets in many different ways. The revelation he gave them was only a fragment at a time, building one truth upon another.

The one who speaks in tongues advances his own spiritual progress, while the one who prophesies builds up the church.

If I say to the wicked, ‘Evildoers, you are about to die,’ and you fail to warn them to renounce their evil ways, they will die for their guilt, but I will hold you responsible for their deaths.

If they are true prophets and the word of Yahweh is in them, let them intercede with Yahweh, the Commander of Angel Armies, so that the furnishings that are still left in Yahweh’s temple, in the king’s palace, and in Jerusalem may not be carried off to Babylon.

And Yahweh said to me, “Don’t intercede on behalf of these people!

There’s a private place reserved for the devoted lovers of Yahweh, where they sit near him and receive the revelation-secrets of his promises.

For Yahweh had shut all the wombs of the women of Abimelech’s household because he took Sarah, Abraham’s wife.

But Yahweh struck Pharaoh and his household with terrible diseases because he had taken Abram’s wife, Sarai.

When Pharaoh’s dignitaries spotted her, they went to Pharaoh and raved about her beauty. Then they took Sarai into the palace and made her part of Pharaoh’s harem.

But you must not eat of the Tree that gives the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will most certainly die.”

Simon begged, “Peter, please pray to God for me. Plead with him so that nothing you just said over me may come to pass!”

One night, God appeared to Abimelech in a dream and said to him, “You’re as good as dead, for you have taken into your harem a married woman!”

So Abimelech rose early in the morning and gathered all his servants. When he told them about his dream, they were terrified!
