The Passion Translation

As I looked about, behold, I saw a ram standing on the bank of the canal. It had two long horns, one behind the other, but the one behind was longer.

Behold! I am stirring up the Medes against them, who neither value silver nor delight in gold.

I opened my eyes to look about me, and I saw a man approaching who was robed in white linen and wearing a belt of pure gold.

“And after you are gone, another kingdom will arise, a kingdom not as great as yours. And then a third kingdom will arise to rule the land, a kingdom of bronze.

So Darius the Mede received the kingdom when he was sixty-two years old.

From then on, Daniel prospered greatly during the reign of Darius and during the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

Then the second beast I saw resembled a bear. It was half crouching and had three ribs clenched between its fangs. It was told, “Stand up and devour more flesh.”

In my vision I suddenly found myself in the fortress city of Susa, the capital of the province of Elam, standing beside the Ulai canal.

“The ram that you saw with two long horns represents the kingdoms of the Medes and the Persians.

When Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw standing in front of him a man holding a drawn sword. Joshua approached him and said, “Are you on our side or on our enemies’?”

Then I saw another wild beast coming up from the ground. It had two horns like a ram, but it spoke like the dragon.

Then I saw a young Lamb standing before the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders. He appeared to have been slaughtered but was now alive! He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out to the ends of the earth.
