When I stand before kings, I will tell them the truth and will never be ashamed.

I’ve called to you over and over; still you refuse to come to me. I’ve pleaded with you again and again, yet you’ve turned a deaf ear to my voice.

Listen before you speak, for to speak before you’ve heard the facts will bring humiliation.

There are two sides to every story. The first one to speak sounds true until you hear the other side and they set the record straight.

So listen, I have taken action to punish you and remove your portion of my blessing. I have put you at the mercy of your enemies, the Philistine women, who blushed over your lewd behavior.

He cautioned them, saying, “Does our law decide a man’s guilt before we first hear him and allow him to defend himself?”

“Ladies and gentlemen, fellow believers and elders —please listen to me as I offer my defense.”

“King Agrippa, I consider myself highly favored to stand before you today and answer the charges made against me by the Jews.

The Lord Yahweh answered him, “Arise and go! I have chosen this man to be my special messenger. He will be brought before kings, before many nations, and before the Jewish people to give them the revelation of who I am.

Yet regarding Israel Isaiah says: “With love I have held out my hands day after day, offering myself to this unbelieving and stubborn people!”
