Paul responded, “God is going to strike you, you corrupt pretender! For you sit there judging me according to the law, yet you broke the law when you ordered me to be struck.”
He cautioned them, saying, “Does our law decide a man’s guilt before we first hear him and allow him to defend himself?”
It’s obvious to all; you will have nothing to do with corrupt rulers who pass laws that empower evil and defeat what is right.
