After the four men spent some time there, the church sent them off in peace to return to the apostles in Jerusalem.

“I leave the gift of peace with you—my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous!

Startled, the jailer awoke and saw every cell door standing open. Assuming that all the prisoners had escaped, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself

Then Jesus said to her, “Daughter, because you dared to believe, your faith has healed you. Go with peace in your heart, and be free from your suffering!”

The priest replied, “You have nothing to worry about. The eyes of Yahweh are watching over your mission. You will succeed.”

After they were severely beaten, they were thrown into prison and the jailer was commanded to guard them securely.

At daybreak, the magistrates sent officers to the prison with orders to tell the jailer, “Let those two men go.”
