Now, the people of Sodom were extremely wicked and rebelled against Yahweh.

But Lot hesitated, so the angels grabbed his hands and the hands of his wife and daughters and brought them outside the city, because Yahweh was merciful to them.

Now, you must hurry. Run to that village, for I can’t do anything until you are there.” (That is why the village was called Zoar.)

So before God destroyed the cities of the plain where Lot had settled, he remembered his affection for Abraham and spared Lot from all the destruction.

They shouted out to Lot, “Where are the men who came to your house tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them!”

Why am I doomed to live as an alien, scattered among these cruel savages? Am I destined to dwell in the darkened tents of desert nomads?

Concerning the prophets: my heart is broken within me, and all my bones tremble. I am like a drunken man, like a man overcome with wine. I’m overcome by the wine of Yahweh, and his holy words spoken to me.

We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously.

They spout off with their grandiose, impressive nonsense. Consumed with the lusts of the flesh, they lure back into sin those who recently escaped from their error.

Many will follow immoral lifestyles. Because of these corrupt false teachers, the way of truth will be slandered.

As for you, divinely loved ones, since you are forewarned of these things, be careful that you are not led astray by the error of the lawless and lose your firm grip on the truth.

There have been some who have sneaked in among you unnoticed. They are depraved people whose judgment was prophesied in Scripture a long time ago. They have perverted the message of God’s grace into a license to commit immorality and turn against our only absolute Master, our Lord Jesus Christ.
