Fear-of-God is a school in skilled living— first you learn humility, then you experience glory.

First pride, then the crash— the bigger the ego, the harder the fall.

It’s better to live humbly among the poor than to live it up among the rich and famous.

The person who courts sin marries trouble; build a wall, invite a burglar.

Pride first, then the crash, but humility is precursor to honor.

The payoff for meekness and Fear-of-God is plenty and honor and a satisfying life.

A Message from the high and towering God, who lives in Eternity, whose name is Holy: “I live in the high and holy places, but also with the low-spirited, the spirit-crushed, And what I do is put new spirit in them, get them up and on their feet again. That was the last straw. God had had enough of Herod’s arrogance and sent an angel to strike him down. Herod had given God no credit for anything. Down he went. Rotten to the core, a maggoty old man if there ever was one, he died.
