The Message

Wise discipline imparts wisdom; spoiled adolescents embarrass their parents.

Wise son, glad father; stupid son, sad mother.

Make hay while the sun shines—that’s smart; go fishing during harvest—that’s stupid.

A refusal to correct is a refusal to love; love your children by disciplining them.

Having a fool for a child is misery; it’s no fun being the parent of a dolt.

A surly, stupid child is sheer pain to a father, a bitter pill for a mother to swallow.

Discipline your children while you still have the chance; indulging them destroys them.

Young people are prone to foolishness and fads; the cure comes through tough-minded discipline.

Point your kids in the right direction— when they’re old they won’t be lost.

Discipline your children; you’ll be glad you did— they’ll turn out delightful to live with.

If you let people treat you like a doormat, you’ll be quite forgotten in the end.
