Humans are satisfied with whatever looks good; God probes for what is good.


There’s a way that looks harmless enough; look again—it leads straight to hell.

Those who hear and don’t act are like those who glance in the mirror, walk away, and two minutes later have no idea who they are, what they look like.


Lots of people claim to be loyal and loving, but where on earth can you find one?


Fools are headstrong and do what they like; wise people take advice.


As silver in a crucible and gold in a pan, so our lives are refined by God.
