When God finished talking with Abraham, he left. And Abraham went home.

He said, “I heard you in the garden and I was afraid because I was naked. And I hid.”

Then I made a playpen for it, a strong playpen so it couldn’t run loose, And said, ‘Stay here, this is your place. Your wild tantrums are confined to this place.’

God doesn’t miss a thing— he’s alert to good and evil alike.

But Jonah got up and went the other direction to Tarshish, running away from God. He went down to the port of Joppa and found a ship headed for Tarshish. He paid the fare and went on board, joining those going to Tarshish—as far away from God as he could get.
