The king of Israel told Jehoshaphat, “As a matter of fact, there is still one such man. But I hate him. He never preaches anything good to me, only doom, doom, doom—Micaiah son of Imlah.” “The king shouldn’t talk about a prophet like that,” said Jehoshaphat.

The nightmares of the wicked come true; what the good people desire, they get.

Pound on a fool all you like— you can’t pound out foolishness.

For people who hate discipline and only get more stubborn, There’ll come a day when life tumbles in and they break, but by then it’ll be too late to help them.

One of the religion scholars spoke up: “Teacher, do you realize that in saying these things you’re insulting us?”
