But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which[2] the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the world, why, as if you were still alive in the world, do you submit to regulations --

For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance,

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's[2] seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God.
