Lord, you have been our dwelling place[1] in all generations.

And behold, a man of God came out of Judah by the word of the LORD to Bethel. Jeroboam was standing by the altar to make offerings.

Be to me a rock of refuge, to which I may continually come; you have given the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.

I will sing of the steadfast love of the LORD, forever; with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

Because you have made the LORD your dwelling place -- the Most High, who is my refuge[2] --

And he will become a sanctuary and a stone of offense and a rock of stumbling to both houses of Israel, a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Therefore say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: Though I removed them far off among the nations, and though I scattered them among the countries, yet I have been a sanctuary to them for a while[3] in the countries where they have gone.'

Are you not from everlasting, O LORD my God, my Holy One? We shall not die. O LORD, you have ordained them as a judgment, and you, O Rock, have established them for reproof.

Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.

This is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the people of Israel before his death.

The eternal God is your dwelling place,[12] and underneath are the everlasting arms.[13] And he thrust out the enemy before you and said, Destroy.

But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.

So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
