And the LORD sent an angel, who cut off all the mighty warriors and commanders and officers in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he came into the house of his god, some of his own sons struck him down there with the sword.

Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth.

Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying,

For the LORD, the Most High, is to be feared, a great king over all the earth.

Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving,[2] and perform your vows to the Most High,

"The kings of the armies -- they flee, they flee!" The women at home divide the spoil --

Awesome is God from his[7] sanctuary; the God of Israel -- he is the one who gives power and strength to his people. Blessed be God!

On that day the LORD will punish the host of heaven, in heaven, and the kings of the earth, on the earth.
