You, LORD God of hosts, are God of Israel. Rouse yourself to punish all the nations; spare none of those who treacherously plot evil. Selah

Like a dream when one awakes, O Lord, when you rouse yourself, you despise them as phantoms.

Direct your steps to the perpetual ruins; the enemy has destroyed everything in the sanctuary!

Then the Lord awoke as from sleep, like a strong man shouting because of wine.

The LORD has taken his place to contend; he stands to judge peoples.

"Now I will arise," says the LORD, "now I will lift myself up; now I will be exalted.

So now, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you alone are the LORD."

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in days of old, the generations of long ago. Was it not you who cut Rahab in pieces, that pierced the dragon?
