God looks down from heaven on the children of man to see if there are any who understand,[2] who seek after God.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!

You have said, "Seek[4] my face." My heart says to you, "Your face, LORD, do I seek."[5]

"Seek the LORD while he may be found; call upon him while he is near;

For my eyes are on all their ways. They are not hidden from me, nor is their iniquity concealed from my eyes.

Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the LORD. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the LORD.

Keep them and do them, for that will be your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples, who, when they hear all these statutes, will say, 'Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.'
