Psalm 51:4

Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment.

Then God said to him in the dream, "Yes, I know that you have done this in the integrity of your heart, and it was I who kept you from sinning against me. Therefore I did not let you touch her.

But Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD, and the LORD put him to death.

He is not greater in this house than I am, nor has he kept back anything from me except yourself, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?"

And they burned their sons and their daughters as offerings[1] and used divination and omens and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking him to anger.

And he burned his son as an offering[1] and used fortune-telling and omens and dealt with mediums and with wizards. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking him to anger.

He calls to the heavens above and to the earth, that he may judge his people:

The heavens declare his righteousness, for God himself is judge! Selah

"I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.

It is a guilt offering; he has indeed incurred guilt before[7] the LORD."

And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.'[3]

(When all the people heard this, and the tax collectors too, they declared God just,[7] having been baptized with the baptism of John,

because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead."

But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed.

By no means! Let God be true though every one were a liar, as it is written, "That you may be justified in your words, and prevail when you are judged."

For he who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not murder." If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.

But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

And I heard the angel in charge of the waters[1] say, "Just are you, O Holy One, who is and who was, for you brought these judgments.

Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.
