As with a deadly wound in my bones, my adversaries taunt me, while they say to me continually, "Where is your God?"

My tears have been my food day and night, while they say to me continually, "Where is your God?"

For you are the God in whom I take refuge; why have you rejected me? Why do I go about mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

My heart is in anguish within me; the terrors of death have fallen upon me.

There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

Why do you forget us forever, why do you forsake us for so many days?
