"He has put my brothers far from me, and those who knew me are wholly estranged from me.

All my intimate friends abhor me, and those whom I loved have turned against me.

He answered, "He who has dipped his hand in the dish with me will betray me.

I am not speaking of all of you; I know whom I have chosen. But the Scripture will be fulfilled,[4] 'He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.'

"But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked; you grew fat, stout, and sleek; then he forsook God who made him and scoffed at the Rock of his salvation.
