He walked in the way of Asa his father and did not turn aside from it, doing what was right in the sight of the LORD.

And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him.

And when it comes, it finds the house swept and put in order.

But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.

Saul thought, "Let me give her to him, that she may be a snare for him and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him." Therefore Saul said to David a second time,[2] "You shall now be my son-in-law."

Then Saul said, "I have sinned. Return, my son David, for I will no more do you harm, because my life was precious in your eyes this day. Behold, I have acted foolishly, and have made a great mistake."
