The insolent utterly deride me, but I do not turn away from your law.

My foot has held fast to his steps; I have kept his way and have not turned aside.

Many are my persecutors and my adversaries, but I do not swerve from your testimonies.

You rebuke the insolent, accursed ones, who wander from your commandments.

I cling to your testimonies, O LORD; let me not be put to shame!

The insolent smear me with lies, but with my whole heart I keep your precepts;

Our heart has not turned back, nor have our steps departed from your way;

and said, "Please, O LORD, remember how I have walked before you in faithfulness and with a whole heart, and have done what is good in your sight." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

He will not grow faint or be discouraged[1] till he has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands wait for his law.

O LORD, you have deceived me, and I was deceived; you are stronger than I, and you have prevailed. I have become a laughingstock all the day; everyone mocks me.

And the people stood by, watching, but the rulers scoffed at him, saying, "He saved others; let him save himself, if he is the Christ of God, his Chosen One!"
