Everyone utters lies to his neighbor; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak.

May the LORD cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that makes great boasts,

I had said in my alarm,[2] "I am cut off from your sight." But you heard the voice of my pleas for mercy when I cried to you for help.

Those of low estate are but a breath; those of high estate are a delusion; in the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath.

By no means! Let God be true though every one were a liar, as it is written, "That you may be justified in your words, and prevail when you are judged."
