He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.

yet at the scent of water it will bud and put out branches like a young plant.

You will decide on a matter, and it will be established for you, and light will shine on your ways.

You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you.

nor do those who pass by say, "The blessing of the LORD be upon you! We bless you in the name of the LORD!"

They still bear fruit in old age; they are ever full of sap and green,

to declare that the LORD is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

When its boughs are dry, they are broken; women come and make a fire of them. For this is a people without discernment; therefore he who made them will not have compassion on them; he who formed them will show them no favor.

Tell the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds.

They shall spring up among the grass like willows by flowing streams.

And the LORD will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit."

It had been planted on good soil by abundant waters, that it might produce branches and bear fruit and become a noble vine.

Your mother was like a vine in a vineyard[3] planted by the water, fruitful and full of branches by reason of abundant water.

So it towered high above all the trees of the field; its boughs grew large and its branches long from abundant water in its shoots.

And on the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither, nor their fruit fail, but they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing."

Like palm groves[2] that stretch afar, like gardens beside a river, like aloes that the LORD has planted, like cedar trees beside the waters.

but when the sun rose they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away.

And seeing a fig tree by the wayside, he went to it and found nothing on it but only leaves. And he said to it, "May no fruit ever come from you again!" And the fig tree withered at once.

When the season for fruit drew near, he sent his servants[3] to the tenants to get his fruit.

They said to him, "He will put those wretches to a miserable death and let out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the fruits in their seasons."

If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.

The LORD will command the blessing on you in your barns and in all that you undertake. And he will bless you in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.

These are blemishes[5] on your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, looking after themselves; waterless clouds, swept along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted;

through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life[2] with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
