He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the LORD.

How they are destroyed in a moment, swept away utterly by terrors!

You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

when terror strikes you like a storm and your calamity comes like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you.

In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you.

but they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one shall make them afraid, for the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken.

Then I will encamp at my house as a guard, so that none shall march to and fro; no oppressor shall again march over them, for now I see with my own eyes.

And when you hear of wars and tumults, do not be terrified, for these things must first take place, but the end will not be at once."

"Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God;[1] believe also in me.

But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled,
