The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.

And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

He wanders abroad for bread, saying, 'Where is it?' He knows that a day of darkness is ready at his hand;

that the evil man is spared in the day of calamity, that he is rescued in the day of wrath?

But for this purpose I have raised you up, to show you my power, so that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.

Everyone who is arrogant in heart is an abomination to the LORD; be assured, he will not go unpunished.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.

What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction,

and "A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense." They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do.

And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials,[4] and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment,

"Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created."
