The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood, but the mouth of the upright delivers them.

The thoughts of the righteous are just; the counsels of the wicked are deceitful.

By the mouth of a fool comes a rod for his back,[1] but the lips of the wise will preserve them.

Their feet run to evil, and they are swift to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; desolation and destruction are in their highways.

For wicked men are found among my people; they lurk like fowlers lying in wait.[1] They set a trap; they catch men.
