All your allies have driven you to your border; those at peace with you have deceived you; they have prevailed against you; those who eat your bread[3] have set a trap beneath you -- you have[4] no understanding.

But you, O LORD, be gracious to me, and raise me up, that I may repay them!

Even my close friend in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted his heel against me.

When its boughs are dry, they are broken; women come and make a fire of them. For this is a people without discernment; therefore he who made them will not have compassion on them; he who formed them will show them no favor.
