Then my enemy will see, and shame will cover her who said to me, "Where is the LORD your God?" My eyes will look upon her; now she will be trampled down like the mire of the streets.

Let them be put to shame and disappointed altogether who rejoice at my calamity! Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves against me!

The righteous will rejoice when he sees the vengeance; he will bathe his feet in the blood of the wicked.

Why should the nations say, "Where is their God?" Let the avenging of the outpoured blood of your servants be known among the nations before our eyes!

The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

O LORD, your hand is lifted up, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people, and be ashamed. Let the fire for your adversaries consume them.

I stirred up one from the north, and he has come, from the rising of the sun, and he shall call upon my name; he shall trample on rulers as on mortar, as the potter treads clay.

For behold, I will make you small among the nations, despised among mankind.

Because of the violence done to your brother Jacob, shame shall cover you, and you shall be cut off forever.

But do not gloat over the day of your brother in the day of his misfortune; do not rejoice over the people of Judah in the day of their ruin; do not boast[5] in the day of distress.

Now many nations are assembled against you, saying, "Let her be defiled, and let our eyes gaze upon Zion."

Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD will be a light to me.

The LORD has taken away the judgments against you; he has cleared away your enemies. The King of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst; you shall never again fear evil.

They shall be like mighty men in battle, trampling the foe in the mud of the streets; they shall fight because the LORD is with them, and they shall put to shame the riders on horses.

Your own eyes shall see this, and you shall say, "Great is the LORD beyond the border of Israel!"

And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day when I act, says the LORD of hosts.

He trusts in God; let God deliver him now, if he desires him. For he said, 'I am the Son of God.' "

For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land will hear of it and will surround us and cut off our name from the earth. And what will you do for your great name?"

Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, for God has given judgment for you against her!"
