then I will make this house like Shiloh, and I will make this city a curse for all the nations of the earth.' "

How can it[1] be quiet when the LORD has given it a charge? Against Ashkelon and against the seashore he has appointed it."

And my eye will not spare, nor will I have pity. I will punish you according to your ways, while your abominations are in your midst. Then you will know that I am the LORD, who strikes.

Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; whoever is discerning, let him know them; for the ways of the LORD are right, and the upright walk in them, but transgressors stumble in them.

So I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the strongholds of Jerusalem."

"Woe to those who are at ease in Zion, and to those who feel secure on the mountain of Samaria, the notable men of the first of the nations, to whom the house of Israel comes!

Can I forget any longer the treasures[4] of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is accursed?

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness,[2] and to walk humbly with your God?

She listens to no voice; she accepts no correction. She does not trust in the LORD; she does not draw near to her God.

Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.
