And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

"Speak to all the congregation of the people of Israel and say to them, You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.

Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.

You shall be blameless before the LORD your God,

Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.

And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.

Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body[1] and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.

A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, greets you, always struggling on your behalf in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God.

For we are glad when we are weak and you are strong. Your restoration is what we pray for.

Mark the blameless and behold the upright, for there is a future for the man of peace.

Finally, brothers,[1] rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another,[2] agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.

For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner for Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles --

This God -- his way is perfect; the word of the LORD proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.

And if you greet only your brothers,[8] what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?

You shall therefore obey the voice of the LORD your God, keeping his commandments and his statutes, which I command you today."
