So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons, epileptics, and paralytics, and he healed them.

And behold, a Canaanite woman from that region came out and was crying, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely oppressed by a demon."

said, "Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and he suffers terribly. For often he falls into the fire, and often into the water.

And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out of him, and the boy was healed instantly.[2]

And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people.

And when he came to the other side, to the country of the Gadarenes,[5] two demon-possessed[6] men met him, coming out of the tombs, so fierce that no one could pass that way.

The herdsmen fled, and going into the city they told everything, especially what had happened to the demon-possessed men.

"Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, suffering terribly."

And the report of this went through all that district.

And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction.

And at once his fame spread everywhere throughout all the surrounding region of Galilee.

That evening at sundown they brought to him all who were sick or oppressed by demons.

And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men.

And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay.

Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Rise, take up your bed and walk'?

This was the first registration when[1] Quirinius was governor of Syria.

And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and a report about him went out through all the surrounding country.

And he arose and left the synagogue and entered Simon's house. Now Simon's mother-in-law was ill with a high fever, and they appealed to him on her behalf.

But now even more the report about him went abroad, and great crowds gathered to hear him and to be healed of their infirmities.

But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins" -- he said to the man who was paralyzed -- "I say to you, rise, pick up your bed and go home."

And this report about him spread through the whole of Judea and all the surrounding country.

Others said, "These are not the words of one who is oppressed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?"

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

And when this had taken place, the rest of the people on the island who had diseases also came and were cured.

For unclean spirits came out of many who were possessed, crying with a loud voice, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed.

So the LORD was with Joshua, and his fame was in all the land.
