"My servant David shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd. They shall walk in my rules and be careful to obey my statutes.

But I will have mercy on the house of Judah, and I will save them by the LORD their God. I will not save them by bow or by sword or by war or by horses or by horsemen."

[3] But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose origin is from of old, from ancient days.

And one from Jacob shall exercise dominion and destroy the survivors of cities!"

Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

saying, "Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose[2] and have come to worship him."

" 'And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.' "

The disciples went and did as Jesus had directed them.

And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

Nathanael answered him, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!"
