When his fellow servants saw what had taken place, they were greatly distressed, and they went and reported to their master all that had taken place.

But when that same servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii,[11] and seizing him, he began to choke him, saying, 'Pay what you owe.'

He refused and went and put him in prison until he should pay the debt.

Then his master summoned him and said to him, 'You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me.

And he looked around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart, and said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and his hand was restored.

So the servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house became angry and said to his servant, 'Go out quickly to the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in the poor and crippled and blind and lame.'

And when he drew near and saw the city, he wept over it,

Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.

To my shame, I must say, we were too weak for that! But whatever anyone else dares to boast of -- I am speaking as a fool -- I also dare to boast of that.

Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.

Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.
