Then the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not abide in[1] man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years."

But you, draw near, sons of the sorceress, offspring of the adulterer and the loose woman.

When the disciples reached the other side, they had forgotten to bring any bread.

And he sighed deeply in his spirit and said, "Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly, I say to you, no sign will be given to this generation."

For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."

And when they opposed and reviled him, he shook out his garments and said to them, "Your blood be on your own heads! I am innocent. From now on I will go to the Gentiles."

And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, "Save yourselves from this crooked generation."
