For John had been saying to Herod, "It is not lawful for you to have your brother's wife."

If a man takes his brother's wife, it is impurity.[2] He has uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall be childless.

You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother's wife; it is your brother's nakedness.

But Micaiah said, "As the LORD lives, what the LORD says to me, that I will speak."

And they spit on him and took the reed and struck him on the head.
