But overhearing[5] what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, "Do not fear, only believe."

And they rose early in the morning and went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. And when they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, "Hear me, Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem! Believe in the LORD your God, and you will be established; believe his prophets, and you will succeed."

He said to them, "Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you."[3]

While he was saying these things to them, behold, a ruler came in and knelt before him, saying, "My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live."

Then came one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name, and seeing him, he fell at his feet

And he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease."

And Jesus said to him, "If you can! All things are possible for one who believes."

But Jesus on hearing this answered him, "Do not fear; only believe, and she will be well."

Jesus said to her, "Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?"
