And these are the ones along the path, where the word is sown: when they hear, Satan immediately comes and takes away the word that is sown in them.

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the path.

so that we would not be outwitted by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his designs.

The ones along the path are those who have heard. Then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.

And as he sowed, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it.

But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back for yourself part of the proceeds of the land?

Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.

The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders,

But they paid no attention and went off, one to his farm, another to his business,

And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world -- he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

And these are the ones sown on rocky ground: the ones who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy.
