For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.
The sun shall be no more your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give you light;[2] but the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.[3]
Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears[1] we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.
