On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward.

Now when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,

And leaving them, he went out of the city to Bethany and lodged there.

And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

At that hour Jesus said to the crowds, "Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to capture me? Day after day I sat in the temple teaching, and you did not seize me.

On the following day, when they came from Bethany, he was hungry.

And when evening came they[2] went out of the city.

Day after day I was with you in the temple teaching, and you did not seize me. But let the Scriptures be fulfilled."

When he drew near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount that is called Olivet, he sent two of the disciples,

As he was drawing near -- already on the way down the Mount of Olives -- the whole multitude of his disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen,

And he was teaching daily in the temple. The chief priests and the scribes and the principal men of the people were seeking to destroy him,

And he came out and went, as was his custom, to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him.

Six days before the Passover, Jesus therefore came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.

Now Judas, who betrayed him, also knew the place, for Jesus often met there with his disciples.

Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey away.
