Leviticus 6:22

The English Standar Version

The priest from among Aaron's sons, who is anointed to succeed him, shall offer it to the LORD as decreed forever. The whole of it shall be burned.

Yet it was the will of the LORD to crush him; he has put him to grief;[7] when his soul makes[8] an offering for sin, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

and shall lay his hand on the head of the goat and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before the LORD; it is a sin offering.

if it is the anointed priest who sins, thus bringing guilt on the people, then he shall offer for the sin that he has committed a bull from the herd without blemish to the LORD for a sin offering.

And the priest shall put on his linen garment and put his linen undergarment on his body, and he shall take up the ashes to which the fire has reduced the burnt offering on the altar and put them beside the altar.

Then he shall take off his garments and put on other garments and carry the ashes outside the camp to a clean place.

It shall be made with oil on a griddle. You shall bring it well mixed, in baked[4] pieces like a grain offering, and offer it for a pleasing aroma to the LORD.

Every grain offering of a priest shall be wholly burned. It shall not be eaten."

He washed the entrails and the legs with water, and Moses burned the whole ram on the altar. It was a burnt offering with a pleasing aroma, a food offering for the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.

(The people of Israel journeyed from Beeroth Bene-jaakan[2] to Moserah. There Aaron died, and there he was buried. And his son Eleazar ministered as priest in his place.

The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office,
