The fourth lot came out for Issachar, for the people of Issachar, according to their clans.

This is the inheritance of the people of Zebulun, according to their clans -- these cities with their villages.

Their territory included Jezreel, Chesulloth, Shunem,

Adjoining the territory of Simeon, from the east side to the west, Issachar, one portion.

The sons of Leah: Reuben (Jacob's firstborn), Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun.

"Issachar is a strong donkey, crouching between the sheepfolds.[2]

But the land shall be divided by lot. According to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.

Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar;

12,000 from the tribe of Simeon, 12,000 from the tribe of Levi, 12,000 from the tribe of Issachar,
