At that hour Jesus said to the crowds, "Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to capture me? Day after day I sat in the temple teaching, and you did not seize me.

But the chief priests, taking the pieces of silver, said, "It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is blood money."

And he sat down opposite the treasury and watched the people putting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums.

And he called his disciples to him and said to them, "Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box.

The scribes and the chief priests sought to lay hands on him at that very hour, for they perceived that he had told this parable against them, but they feared the people.

Jesus[1] looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the offering box,

Again they sought to arrest him, but he escaped from their hands.

And Jesus said to her, "Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come."

About the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and began teaching.

So they were seeking to arrest him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.

Some of them wanted to arrest him, but no one laid hands on him.

You go up to the feast. I am not[3] going up to this feast, for my time has not yet fully come."

Early in the morning he came again to the temple. All the people came to him, and he sat down and taught them.

So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.
