John 6:27

Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal."

I will tell of the decree: The LORD said to me, "You are my Son; today I have begotten you.

Then I said, "Behold, I have come; in the scroll of the book it is written of me:

"Come, eat of my bread and drink of the wine I have mixed.

All the toil of man is for his mouth, yet his appetite is not satisfied.[2]

Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations.

Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food.

Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O LORD, God of hosts.

Behold, is it not from the LORD of hosts that peoples labor merely for fire, and nations weary themselves for nothing?

He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my beloved Son,[1] with whom I am well pleased; listen to him."

And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

and behold, a voice from heaven said, "This is my beloved Son,[3] with whom I am well pleased."

"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust[5] destroy and where thieves break in and steal,

And Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head."

And a voice came from heaven, "You are my beloved Son;[4] with you I am well pleased."

And a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud, "This is my beloved Son;[3] listen to him."

and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form, like a dove; and a voice came from heaven, "You are my beloved Son;[3] with you I am well pleased."[4]

And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is my Son, my Chosen One;[3] listen to him!"

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

I knew that you always hear me, but I said this on account of the people standing around, that they may believe that you sent me."

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father.

since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him.

that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.[6]

Whoever receives his testimony sets his seal to this, that God is true.

For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day."

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh."

So Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.

Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.

This is the bread that came down from heaven, not as the fathers ate and died. Whoever feeds on this bread will live forever."

Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?

Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life,

I am the one who bears witness about myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness about me."

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

"Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know --

He received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. The purpose was to make him the father of all who believe without being circumcised, so that righteousness would be counted to them as well,

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

"Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food" -- and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

If to others I am not an apostle, at least I am to you, for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.

Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, 'Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?'

for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.

(referring to things that all perish as they are used) -- according to human precepts and teachings?

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.

remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

But God's firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity."

that no one is sexually immoral or unholy like Esau, who sold his birthright for a single meal.

Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.

For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. So also will the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits.

for "All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls,

For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, "This is my beloved Son,[9] with whom I am well pleased,"
