The young lions roar for their prey, seeking their food from God.

He gives to the beasts their food, and to the young ravens that cry.

Because of the ground that is dismayed, since there is no rain on the land, the farmers are ashamed; they cover their heads.

The prophets who preceded you and me from ancient times prophesied war, famine, and pestilence against many countries and great kingdoms.

How the beasts groan! The herds of cattle are perplexed because there is no pasture for them; even the flocks of sheep suffer.[5]
